Many Texas State students are coping with longer commutes because of construction in San Marcos. Bobcat Update's Kristen Flowers has the story.

Many construction projects -- on and off campus -- are underway. They include the overpass at Aquarena Springs next to the football stadium and a new  engineering building across the street from McCoy Hall. Because of these projects, some students, like Brianna Zemelicka, have noticed a change in their commutes this semester.

But other students say they're not bothered by the detours.

The City of San Marcos website states that all major projects are expected to be finished by next winter, and the Texas State University Construction web page shows four projects are underway now and at least fifteen more are in the works. It looks like detours may be required for a little longer. For Bobcat Update, I'm Kristen Flowers.
