Texas State University is replacing some dining hall cashiers with self-serving kiosks. Bobcat Update's Ashley Bowerman has the story.
The Undergraduate Academic Center Café and Jones Dining Center now have touch-screen kiosks for ordering and purchasing food. The new kiosks do not accept cash. The only acceptable forms of payment are credit or debt cards as well as meal swipes, dining dollars, Bobcat Bucks, Samsung or Apple Pay. Texas State senior Darrell Green says the kiosks eliminate the much-needed customer service experience.

With a population of about 38-thousand students, the university is seeking to minimize long dining hall lines. Texas State senior Mark Brown says the kiosks increase efficiency.

This is the first cashless payment system the university has implemented on campus. For Bobcat Update, I'm Ashley Bowerman.
