Flu has taken a toll at Texas State. Several students have had to skip class to recover after catching the bug. Eric Ramirez has the story.
Nationwide the flu virus has affected thousands of people. It's not an illness to take lightly. Many deaths have resulted from those who were caught in its grip. The Student Health Center has treated several students who have had the symptoms. Assistant Director Julie Eckert says there are some preventive measures students can take.

Eckert says the health center has been treating patients who have the flu, and it's still offering vaccinations to avoid the illness altogether.
