Student organizations at Texas State are ever evolving. But with the economic downturn, many of the university's more than 200 organizations are struggling to fund their events. The university allocates 24-thousand dollars to student organizations every year. And graduate assistant of student orgs, Dominique McGee, says this dollar amount will not change. The university also offers student orgs educational programs and workshops. Last year, leaders from 95 student organizations attended the university's advising session for presidents, the best turnout ever for the event.
