The Texas State quad is bustling with activity this afternoon. Smells of fresh artisan bread and local produce fill the air -- mixed with the vibrant colors of handmade clothing and jewelery. More than 20 vendors from the Austin-San Marcos corridor gather on the first Thursday of every month for the Texas State Farmers Market with the hope of giving students an alternative look 'and taste' of shopping. All the vendors are sponsored by student organizations.
