Rumors of bias in the A-S-G Supreme Court sparked concern among voters earlier this week.  Hollee Barfield has more information in this Bobcat Update.
Stand-Up:  Well, the votes have been cast, and the election results are in.  But could a last-minute decision by the A-S-G Supreme Court have made an impact on the final outcome?
Texas State's Associated Student Government voted unanimously on Friday to outlaw all forms of campaigning by candidates on election days.  The Election Code originally banned campaigning in any official polling locations. However, the Senate believes that with today's technology, including smart phones, any area could be considered a polling location.  Presidential candidate Will Fox filed an appeal to the Dean of Students, who then overturned the ruling.
SB:  (Will Fox...12 sec...election code.)
According to the University Star, four out of five of the Supreme Court justices were supporters of the DeGarmo-Roemer Facebook group, and Chief Justice Darby even appears in one of the campaign photos. A-J DeGarmo disagrees with accusations that there is a bias in the Supreme Court, and that the ruling was intended to hinder Fox's 24/7 campaigning strategy.
SB:  (AJ DeGarmo...15 sec...that level.)
According to both candidates, the elections were run fairly, and their main concern was that everyone take the time to submit his or her vote.  For Bobcat Update, I'm Hollee Barfield.
