The Roy F. Mitte building is hosting an exhibit for students featuring a state-of-the-art Formula-One car. The Williams Cosworth F-W 33 will utilize an emerging Kinetic Energy Recovery System. The system stores braking energy, which would otherwise be converted to heat, making the car significantly faster and more efficient. The car is capable of reaching zero-to-60 miles per hour in just over two seconds. In the coming years, the College of Science plans to use information gathered from the exhibit to teach engineering principles.
