It's a Texas State tradition for students to jump in the river after receiving their diplomas. Bobcat Update's Hailey Kellum finds out how December graduates feel about this tradition.

Graduating seniors are often asked about their future plans, but they also have another important question to answer: Will they participate in the tradition of jumping in the river? The ritual has been a part of Texas State for years but December graduates face a chillier challenge. For that reason some Bobcats weren't sure if they would take the dive.

Mass Communication Senior Aaryn Cantu says she learned about the tradition after she saw pictures of people jumping in the river wearing their caps and gowns.

The weather causes the most concern but students decided they wouldn't let a few moments of cold water hold them back.
